Support - DSL Configuration (Windows NT)

These instructions are for Windows NT 4.

First Right Click on Network Neighborhood and go to properties.

On the 'Identification' tab no changes should be necessary.
If you must enter a name or workgroup, any name will
work.

On the 'Services' tab, make sure that 'Workstation' appears in
the Network Services list.  If it is not then it will need to be added.

On the 'Protocols' tab, you should see 'TCP/IP Protocol' in the Network Protocols list.  If you don't have it then you will need to add it. Select the TCP/IP Protocol by clicking on it in the list, then click on the 'Properties' button.

Make sure the 'Obtain an IP address from a DHCP server is selected.  Then click the 'DNS' tab.

On the 'DNS' tab your 'Host Name' can be anything. In the 'Domain' field, type 'extremezone.com'.
Now in the 'DNS Service Search Order' field type in: 64.140.128.10 and on the next line type 64.140.128.11
Next, select the 'WINS Address' tab.

All the 'WINS' Settings should be empty except for the 'Adapter:' which should reflect the type of network card you have installed.

If necessary, restart your computer.

Once your configuration is complete, try your connection by double-
clicking on your favorite web browser (i.e. Internet Explorer or
Netscape Navigator).
